AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION - North Triangle and Johnstown Road TIF Funds

WHEREAS, the Council has authorized the Director of Public Service & Engineering permission to bid the East Johnstown Road Trail project; and
WHEREAS, the Council has already appropriated $300,000 for this project in the FY2022 Budget; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Service & Engineering anticipates unforeseeable cost escalations with the project, including construction administration/inspection and inflationary construction costs creating a need for a supplemental appropriation; and
WHEREAS, the supplemental appropriation of $130,000 requested to fund these improvements will come from the unencumbered balance of the North Triangle and Johnstown Road TIF Funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That this Council hereby authorizes a supplemental appropriation in the amount of one hundred thirty thousand dollars and zero cents ($130,000.00) from the unappropriated/unencumbered balance of the North Triangle TIF to account number 224.11.090.5505.
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by Council and on date of signature of approval by the Mayor.
